Vortex RAD

RAD is the new 125cc single-cylinder 2 stroke engine by Vortex, homologated by CIK-FIA for the classes KF1, KF2, KF3 and KF4, with reed valve admission in the crankcase.
It is mixture lubricated and liquid-cooled with integrated water pump. It has got a digital ignition and an integrated electric starter, which the battery is dedicated to. It is provided with a balancer shaft, which reduces the vibrations, and with a power valve for the exhaust. The centrifugal dry clutch is monolithic.

RVX1

RVXX 125 is the latest engine manufactured by VORTEX, and is CIKFIA homologated and assigned to the KZ1 and KZ2 classes.
The new engine has in common with its successful forerunner, RVS 125, the single-cylinder architecture with water cooling through an external pump and power delivery via six-speed gearbox. The RVX project offers a completely new, more compact and lighter crankcase that unables the cylinder and head to be mounted in a nearly vertical position. Such inclination improves the dynamics of the airflow as it enters the crankcase. The reed valve and the cylinder group evolution provided accurate thermodynamic research regarding the air flow and the liquid cooling channels.
Through these changes and the resulting increase in cooling system performance, Vortex has achieved maximum power output. Close attention has been dedicated to every single detail. Changes include the following: lighter clutch cover, which better surrounds and protects the mechanic parts; relocated clutch cable attachment to improve ease of use, and a practical ability for clutch adjustment; further more the vacuum pump has been moved from the left to the right side, providing the possibility to set the fuel pump on the engine through suitable clamps. Not to be forgotten, an air flow passage has been created on the lower half of the crankcase; helping to improve the flow of air which assists the cooling under the engine.

ROK

ROK is a 125cc single-cylinder 2 stroke engine by Vortex, with reed valve admission in the crankcase. It is mixture-lubricated and liquid-cooled with integrated water pump. It has got a self-generating digital ignition and an integrated electric starter, which the battery is dedicated to. It is provided with a balancer shaft, which reduces the vibrations. A centrifugal dry clutch makes it possible to keep the engine on even when the kart is still.

JUNIOR ROK
By changing the exhaust, the Rok engine decreases in power from 29Hp to 19Hp. That's the Junior Rok engine!

superrok1
minirok

SUPEROK is the ultimate evolution of the ROK engine by Vortex, conserving many of its important characteristics, but featuring an amount of innovations.
Not changing the displacement of 125cc and the reed admission in the crankcase, the reed block is now bigger, and the carburettor is a d.36mm by Dellorto.
The new cylinder, always with liner, has got a 5-transfers scavenging, and the 3-ports exhaust is provided with pneumatic power valve.
The digital ignition has a different advance diagram; the exhaust plant is a new design with integrated silencer; the rotor of the centrifugal clutch is now monolithic.

The Minirok 60cc is the engine with which Vortex enters the world of the younger. Built according to the new CSAI FIK technical rules of the Italian MINI 60cc and BABY 60 cc categories, the Minirok is a completely innovative engine for the younger!

Vortex has developed two Minirok engines:
Minirok MINI 60cc and Minirok BABY 60cc: the two versions differ from one another in carburettor and exhaust.
Minirok BABY 60cc: supplied with carburettor Ø 14mm and baby exhaust (reduced power); dedicated to the youngest; it is the entry level in the karting world.
Minirok MINI 60cc: supplied with carburettor Ø 18mm and mini exhaust; it is the second step in competitions, usually from 9 to 12 years old drivers.

Technical characteristics :

It is a piston port engine cooled air free typical of the karting school, where the body and the finning have been dimensioned in order to obtain the greatest thermic and dimensional stability, paying particular attention to the most stressed part near the exhaust.
The constructive architecture of the engine is that of a high performance engine: the gravity chill castings, the cast iron liner with a great thickness, the head with the radial fins, the crankcase with wide air passages for the cooling are only some of the characteristics that have been moved into this project.
Also the cycle of the mechanical manufacturing is exactly that, which helps the engines of superior categories to reach the performing levels that we can see nowadays.
The centrifugal clutch with monolithic rotor and the electric starter on board complete the configuration of an engine expressly born for the competitions and, at the same time, reliable and easy to drive. It's important to underline that thanks to this manufacturing method, all the engines have the same performances and this keeps the qualitative standard high and constant.
